This webinar supports early childhood educators in selecting and embedding meaningful vocabulary within inquiry-based, hands-on learning experiences while planning a unit of study. While all children benefit from visual aids and interactive activities, students with IEPs thrive when intentional supports are built into instruction. Participants will explore sample units of study to see practical strategies in action—strategies that provide multiple, contextual opportunities for vocabulary engagement. These approaches are designed to enhance comprehension, retention, and overall language development. Visual supports will be integrated into every experience; helping to reduce cognitive load while fostering rich, language-focused learning opportunities. When you embed accommodations and IEP supports into instruction, supporting and assessing students happens naturally within your activities instead of becoming an additional task.
