Rush University Medical Center Autism Resource Directory is an online resource guide to help families find service and support referrals in the following Illinois counties: Lake, McHenry, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Will, Grundy and Kankakee. Resources are searchable by group- Children, Middle and High Schoolers, Adults, and Caregivers- then by resource category. Includes Support Groups for Autism Caregivers.
Welcome to the Rett Syndrome Association of Illinois. We are dedicated to developing awareness and understanding of, and furthering the advancement of research for Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome Association of Illinois (RSAI) serves as a support system, and provides resources for families and friends.

Reading Rockets is a national multimedia literacy initiative offering information and resources on how young children learn to read and why so many struggle, and providing research-based strategies to teachers and parents to support the children’s literacy development.
A program of the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP), Reach Out & Read Illinois prepares low-income children for kindergarten by incorporating books into pediatric visits from six months to five years, connecting families to neighborhood resources and encouraging families to read together by building on the relationship between parents and healthcare providers. ROR believes that children’s books build better brains, better family relationships, and happier, healthier children and societies. Their website provides a wealth of resources to to promote family reading time, including screen-free activities, children’s book lists- including special needs and diversity topics, Spanish early literacy resources, and much more.
Provider Connections is contracted by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Bureau of Early Intervention to credential, enroll, and provide technical support to Early Intervention (EI) providers interested in the credentialing and enrollment process. The mission of Provider Connections is to ensure that professionals working in the Illinois EI System possess appropriate qualifications, enhance their professional growth, and strengthen their understanding of children ages birth to 3 with special needs.
