Early Intervention Training Program (EITP)
EITP is funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Bureau of Early Intervention to deliver professional development to early interventionists serving children and families in the Illinois Early Intervention System. The mission of EITP is to develop a comprehensive system of personnel development that is regionalized, responsive and reflective of best practices in the field of early intervention.
Early Intervention Training Program at the University of Illinois (EITP)
EITP sponsors numerous training events each year that support the mission and vision of the Illinois Early Intervention System. Our “Non-EITP Events” calendar also includes events from other sponsoring entities that have been reviewed by EITP for Early Intervention credit. These events are shared as training resources to the field. These reviewed events are posted to our training calendar as a courtesy not as an endorsement. Please check the calendar for the amount of credit for each event. Training events may be face-to-face or online.

Illinois Child Find Project
Educating the public about the importance of early intervention and early childhood special education services for eligible children as early as possible in their development, the Child Find Project develops and disseminates informational education materials, and resource and service information to Illinois school districts, early intervention providers, health care providers, families, child care providers, educators, families and the general public.
Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)
IDHS’ Division of Developmental Disabilities provides services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The PUNS (Prioritization for Urgency of Need for Services) statewide database records information about individuals with developmental disabilities who are potentially in need of services. In Illinois, enrolling in PUNS is the first step to the individual receiving state funded disability services outside the educational setting. See Understanding PUNS (DHS 4313): A Guide to PUNS. Enter PUNS in the search box for a related list of documents in English and Spanish.

This website for early intervention families and professionals provides a wealth of information on early intervention services in Illinois, tip sheets, a newsletter, Illinois EI program guide, lending library, blog and many other resources. The website is viewable in Spanish.
Provider Connections
Provider Connections is contracted by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Bureau of Early Intervention to credential, enroll, and provide technical support to Early Intervention (EI) providers interested in the credentialing and enrollment process. The mission of Provider Connections is to ensure that professionals working in the Illinois EI System possess appropriate qualifications, enhance their professional growth, and strengthen their understanding of children ages birth to 3 with special needs.
