Center for Parent Information and Resources (CPIR)
A central “Hub” of information for the network of Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRCs), CPIR provides information and support to families of children with disabilities in the US and Territories.
Chicago Hearing Society (CHS)
CHS, a division of Anixter Center, provides communication access, hearing and assistive technologies, and support services for persons of all ages, who are Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing through a variety of programs including audiology services, interpreter services and captioning, and community outreach and advocacy.
Chicago Hearing Society Youth Connections Program
CHS Youth Connections Program is a statewide advisory committee of parents and professionals ensuring that children who are Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of Hearing and their families connect with the necessary resources, advocacy, information, services, and support within the home, school, and community.

Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD)
CHADD is a nationally recognized non-profit organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with ADHD. The website provides information on understanding ADHD for families, educators and professionals, numerous publications including weekly articles, newsletter, magazine, blog and podcasts, resources, tool kits, events, and local groups. Clearbrook – Respite Program
Clearbrook’s various respite programs offer an array of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These services are designed to help maintain individuals with developmental disabilities in the individual/family home by providing short-term relief to primary caregivers.
Division for Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)-Recommended Practices
The DEC Recommended Practices bridge the gap between research and practice, to provide guidance to practitioners and families about the most effective ways to improve learning outcomes and promote the development of young children, birth through age 5, who have or are at-risk for developmental delays or disabilities. These practices consist of eight domains: leadership, assessment, environment, family, instruction, interaction, teaming and collaboration, and transition and have been shown to result in better outcomes for young children with disabilities, their families, and the personnel who serve them.
Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC)
A division of UIC, DSCC assists Illinois families and children with special healthcare needs, providing care coordination, cost-support, diagnosis and treatment for children with chronic health impairments, from birth to age 21, who are determined eligible for program support.
