CHADD is a nationally recognized non-profit organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with ADHD. The website provides information on understanding ADHD for families, educators and professionals, numerous publications including weekly articles, newsletter, magazine, blog and podcasts, resources, tool kits, events, and local groups. Clearbrook’s Family and Community Autism Resource Specialists (FCARS)
Navigating through the maze of autism-related information and resources can be overwhelming. Clearbrook makes the process more comfortable by discussing options with family members as well as professionals. The Family and Community Autism Resource Specialist provides information and resources to the community. Some included information regarding programs, services, and supports available, including support groups, autism organizations, community resources, professional information, training, and community events.
Down Syndrome Support – South Suburbs
The Chicagoland Buddy Walk is run by parents and families of individuals with Down syndrome. Once a year we have a 1-mile walk to support local individuals and groups involved with making a better life in the Down syndrome world. Not only do we have a beautiful walk, we also have many other family activities to enjoy throughout the day. Please check the Walk Schedule for a list of this year’s events.

A McHenry County, Illinois, not-for-profit all volunteer support organization, maximizing the potential of each individual person with Down Syndrome and improving the quality of their lives by sharing ideas, exploring new concepts, and celebrating successes together. FINDS provides Bi-Monthly Newsletters, Social Events, Educational Services, and Family Support.
Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center
