Participants learn practical co-regulation and calming strategies that reduce escalation\, strengthen adult responses\, and create brain-ready classrooms and learning environments for young children. Please plan to bring your lunch as we will only take a 30 minute lunch breakPresenter: Dr. Angela Searcy Learner objectives: 1. Identify signs of “Amy G.” (amygdala activation) in young children and recognize how stress responses impact behavior and learning. 2. Apply the Push Past It! lens (Change You\, Change the Child\, Change the Consequences) to analyze adult responses that escalate or de-escalate challenging behavior. 3. Demonstrate at least three self -regulation\,  co-regulation and calming strategies that support state change before instruction. 4.
