This session is designed to build upon the foundational knowledge of the IEP process by focusing on the critical link between student evaluation data and instructional planning. Participants will learn how to effectively analyze present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP) to identify specific, individualized student needs. The training will provide practical strategies for clearly writing measurable annual goals and short-term objectives that are directly tied to the PLAAFP. Data collection methods to accurately monitor progress and justify least restrictive environment placements, ensure IEP implementation fidelity, and make informed decisions about future services.
