STAR NET Region II and VI provides training opportunities, information, resources, and support to professionals working with young children with disabilities and their families. Choose from a variety of learning opportunities to support your professional development no matter your experience level, through our workshops and webinars.
High Quality Learning Experiences
As an early childhood professional, your goal is to help your students learn and thrive in the classroom and at home. STAR NET Region II and VI offers high quality learning experiences to help meet your continuing professional development requirements for state licensing and certification.
Financial assistance may be available to help cover costs of attending workshops and conferences or for establishing a special study group with colleagues and/or family members.
On Site Training & Technical Assistance
Our staff is also available to support early childhood programs on site with training and technical assistance. We can work with your team to design training content based on your needs, and support leadership teams in planning for professional development on a variety of topics.

- Adaptations and accommodations to provide appropriate early childhood curriculum practices
- Assessment
- Strategies to support inclusion
- Early literacy and early mathematics for all children
- Social-emotional supports for all children

STAR NET Region II and VI offers a variety of supports for administrators of early childhood programs which serve children with special needs in our ten-county region.

Ready to assist professionals and parents with a variety of resources for every stage and level of a child’s development, focusing on the early childhood years.
Professional Development Assistance
STAR NET Region II and VI offers funding assistance for professional development to early childhood special education teachers, administrators, therapists, and support staff working with children with individualized education programs (IEPs) in public school programs.
