FAMILY EVENT: From Start to Success: The Parent’s IEP Roadmap Part 1
October 28 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Because each installment is built to stand alone or be part of a series, we invite you to join us for one, two, or all three events!
This workshop provides parents and caregivers with a foundational understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), whether you are new to the process or have participated in IEP meetings before. We will break down the essential parts of an IEP, explain the purpose behind the process, and share practical information to help you better understand your child’s educational plan.
By becoming more familiar with IEPs, parents can feel better prepared to participate in conversations, ask meaningful questions, collaborate with school teams, and advocate for their child’s individual needs. This session is designed to build knowledge and confidence while recognizing the important role families play as members of the IEP team.
Please note that this session provides general educational information and context and is not intended to serve as legal advice.
** PLEASE NOTE: No Professional Development Credit will be awarded for attending this event.
