The Sensory Connection: From Self-Awareness to Student Support
October 15 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Location Online – at your computer
Time 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Registration 3:45 PM – 4:00 PM
Unlock a deeper understanding of the sensory world of your early childhood classroom. This session guides ECSE professionals through the foundational principles of sensory processing theory, starting with a personal inventory of your own sensory preferences. By understanding how you process the world, you’ll be better equipped to interpret the sensory-driven needs of your students. We will bridge the gap between theory and practice, identifying why specific sensory items are in your room or school environment and how to use them to foster a productive learning environment for all.
Presenter Dawn Carriel Hubbard, Elizabeth (Ely) Cambray-Engstrom
